Inbetta is a consumer goods manufacturer with more than 75 years of history, a benchmark in housewares, painting and finishing, organization and professional cleaning. It brings together nine proprietary brands, among them Bettanin, Atlas, Sanremo and Ordene, and employs more than 3,000 people. Its solutions reach more than 200,000 outlets across every state in Brazil and abroad.
Challenge
Quality assurance for Inbetta's SAP applications relied heavily on key users and manual testing, which risked compromising delivery agility. The company turned to DBServices to assess its testing maturity and validate whether automating critical SAP flows was feasible.
Solution
In five weeks, we combined a "Test Automation Level" Quick Assessment with a PoC for end-to-end test automation of the Sales Order flow inside the SAP environment. We used a 100% open source stack (Robot Framework + Python + Selenium), with BDD written in the local language, running over SAP GUI for HTML and Fiori in a RISE environment.
Result
A significant reduction, above 90%, in Sales Order execution time, giving the IT team greater autonomy in running tests and giving key users more focus and agility in signing off deliveries. An improvement roadmap was also designed to advance Inbetta's maturity and capability in test automation across its SAP applications.
