InBetta is a consumer goods manufacturer with more than 75 years of history, a benchmark in the Brazilian market for housewares, paint and finishing products, and professional organization and cleaning supplies. It brings together nine proprietary brands, including Bettanin, Atlas, Sanremo, and Ordene, and has more than 3,000 employees. Its products are available in over 200,000 retail locations across every state in Brazil, as well as internationally.
Challenge
Inbetta's entire quality assurance process relied on manual execution, sustained by around 60 key users with no dedicated testing focus. The company turned to DBServices to assess its testing maturity and validate whether automating critical SAP workflows was feasible.
Solution
Over five weeks, we combined a "Test Automation Level" Quick Assessment with an end-to-end test automation PoC for the Sales Order flow within the SAP environment. We used a 100% open-source stack (Robot Framework + Python + Selenium), with BDD written in Portuguese, running on SAP GUI for HTML and Fiori in a RISE environment.
Result
A significant reduction (over 90%) in Sales Order execution time, giving the IT team greater autonomy in running tests and allowing key users more focus and agility in homologating deliveries. Additionally, an improvement roadmap was designed to advance InBetta's maturity and capability in test automation across its SAP applications.
